The initial installment of Citadel has garnered mixed reception. Rotten Tomatoes assigns it a 54% rating and the consensus composed of critics assert that while the series didn’t cut corners, it still seems inadequately developed which results in a reasonably entertaining spy escapade that nevertheless fails under the burden of its own extravagance. Metacritic’s Metascore of 51 indicates that based on 27 reviews, the series got a “mixed or average reviews” feedback.
