The Wrestling Career of the Wrestler

Brodus didn’t start wrestling until he was 33, which wasn’t exactly a late start. World Wrestling Entertainment was the first company he signed a contract with (WWE).

Murdoch was sent to the Deep South Wrestling region (DSW) as part of the WWE’s developing program. In September of that year, he made his professional ring debut. G-Rilla was his initial ring nickname. He had the demeanor of a street thug, and he wore a hoodie. In his first bout, he defeated Big Bully Douglas.

A few bouts into his flamboyant street style, G-Rilla joined the Urban Attack as an enforcer, a more prominent member of the squad who typically finishes in second. Eric Perez and Sonny Siaki were the other members of the wrestling club.

Later, his feud with The Bag Lady lost them against The Major Brothers for the DSW Tag Team Championship. However, the tournament was finally won by the Urban Attack. The other members of Urban Attacks eventually kicked him out because of his ongoing disagreement.

Fights and Feuds in WWE

G-Rilla began fighting the Urban Assault during matches after being kicked out of the group and finally won a match against them. He teamed up with his old foe, Freakin Deacon, to do this.

Shawn Osborne and Jon Bolen, Robert Anthony, and Johnny Curtis are just a few of the other teams that the team has worked on and the Samoan Fight Club and Afa Jr. Due to the mental collapse of Deacon, the squad disbanded.

By 2007, G-Rilla had become a household name in professional wrestling. Murdoch made his professional wrestling debut by defeating Shawn Osborne in the first event of Florida Championship Wrestling, and he won the Battle Royal in the end.

He became the No. 1 contender for the FCW Southern Heavyweight Championship after his victory in the tournament. However, he was disqualified and lost the title to Harry Smith, the reigning champion.

As Smith and Hart fought, G-Rilla continued to poke them. TJ Wilson and Ted DiBiase joined the Smith and Hart, team. In addition, Afa Jr. and G-Rila also formed a team to face Osborne, Jake Hager, and Osborne. In 2008, his WWE contract expired, and he was made available to the public.

Return to WWE

In 2010, WWE re-signed Brodus Clay. Finally, he was transferred to FCW. Brodus teamed up with The Uso Brothers, Tamina, and Donny Marlow under the alias G-Rilla.

In May 2010, he adopted the ring moniker Brodus Clay after Snoop Dogg’s actual name, Calvin Cordozar Broadus. As part of the Colossal Connection, he teamed up with Donny Marlow.

Alberto Del Rio and NXT

Clay made his WWE debut in the NXT developmental division in 2010. It was NXT’s fourth season finale. He could choose his own professional after winning a four-way elimination in January.

In addition, he first attacked DiBiase before moving on to Alberto Del Rio. Meanwhile, Del Rio delegated his professional duties to his manager since he was unwilling to deal with him. For the remainder of the season, though, he could not play. With Curtis taking first place, the clay had to settle for second place.

As Del Rio’s bodyguard, he made a few appearances on RAW, where he even took part in a few matches. To take on Christian and Edge, he accompanied Del Rio.

2013 and 2014 weren’t the best years for The Funkasaurus in sales. He got into several fights that weren’t called. Even his tag-team partner, Tensai, was assaulted by him in a fit of jealousy. Neither of his other pals liked this.
