What’s the latest on Disney Plus in January 2022!

This January, Disney Plus is tempting the new year’s spirit with family-friendly Christmas entertainment. The streamer is releasing a flurry of new games in time for the holidays as the year 2021 draws to a close. Furthermore, new films such as Betty White Goes Wild, Eternals, The Sandlot, Like Mike 2, and others have recently been released.

It depicts an orphan who discovers a pair of Michael Jordan‘s sneakers and develops basketball skills. Clyde Drexler, a former NBA player, and Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks owner, both had cameo appearances in this film, with Drexler portraying himself and Cuban as a team coach.

The story goes around Scotty Smalls, along with his mother and stepfather. They move to a new area and wish to learn to play baseball. Smalls is taken under the wing of Rodriguez, the neighborhood baseball instructor, and quickly becomes one of the local baseball pals. The film was shot in Midvale, Salt Lake City, and Ogden, Utah, in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. It has now become a cult classic, grossing $34 million worldwide.

Eternals is another upcoming movie on Disney Plus in January 2022. It is a superhero flick based on the Marvel Comics race of the same name published in 2021. It is a Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 26th film, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (MCU). The film was under by Chloé Zhao, who also co-wrote it with Patrick Burleigh, Ryan Firpo, and Kaz Firpo. In the film, the Eternals, an eternal extraterrestrial species, emerge from hiding after thousands of years to protect Earth from their ancient counterparts, the Deviants.

Eternals cotillion in Los Angeles on 18 October 2021 was released in the United States on 5th November 2021, as part of the MCU’s Phase Four. The film has grossed over $401 million worldwide, positioning it as the year’s tenth highest-grossing film.
