Monique Samuels has affirmed she won’t be returning for The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 6. The Bravo show women have been purportedly getting their pickup contracts for the new season, yet Samuels has declined to proceed. In an Instagram broadcast, the business person disclosed to her fans why she had chosen to leave the show after four seasons.
For what reason is Monique Samuels leaving?
Following the RHOP gathering, Samuels took to Instagram Live to talk straightforwardly to her fans. During the broadcast, the reality television character said she was “over it” and was settling on the choice of leaving the Bravo series.
“It was a crazy ride. It is difficult doing reality television, and to be very honest, I’m over it,” Samuels said during her IGTV broadcast. “I appreciate all that people have accomplished for me, everyone that has been Team Monique, I love you all, yet when you cross certain lines, there’s no returning. As far as I might be concerned, my family is that line. My family and my children’s opinions and opinions on what I do are more valuable to me than anyone’s opinion. In this way, I’m over it.”
Samuels said that she is leaving The Real Housewives franchise due to her family. She didn’t need her kids to grow up and see the gossipy tidbits grow up and question why she kept being on a show that way.
“I wanted to speak to real Black love and show people something outside what the stereotype has been on TV,” she proceeded. “Unfortunately, this season, I played directly into that stereotype. I stayed at work overtime to examine myself since that is contrary to what I need to show. I’m continually going to be an extraordinary model or a good example for my children, and you need to realize when will tolerated nothing more.”
Bits of Gossip About Her Family
Even though this didn’t turn an issue on the show, Samuels has uncovered that Gizelle Bryant was behind a gross talk. During an early episode of season 5, Bryant said that Candiace Dillard and Samuels dropped out in the wake of gossip about Samuels’ baby’s paternity. Samuels proceeded to converse with fans on Instagram to uncover the supposed plot.
“Gizelle is planning to go to [the] gathering to tell people Chase isn’t Chris’ and that you were undermining him and that is not his baby,” Samuels said that Huger advised her.
Placing into question the paternity of Samuels’ baby was a shameful move, and the RHOP star fomented about the rumor, with reason.
“How sickening is it? You can say anything you desire about me, however, to discuss my child?” Samuels added. “If somebody somehow happened to discuss anybody of Gizelle’s little girls or even the illegitimates from her ex, she would go crazy. To raise my child’s name, when you realize the wreck ain’t accurate, how low and sickening is that.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac will begin recording season 6 toward 2021 and air on Bravo later one year from now. The cable network has not affirmed which other housewives will be returning for the latest season.
